Senior Data Engineer

The Salvation Army is undergoing a major digital transformation to enhance service and mission outcomes. As part of this initiative, they are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team and advance their data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage existing data architecture and ensure data security and integrity.
  • Collaborate with data modelers and analysts to integrate data from various sources.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into data engineering.
  • Maintain and optimize ETL/ELT processes.
  • Resolve ETL/ELT pipeline issues and develop new data processes.
  • Implement data validation and quality checks.
  • Maintain technical documentation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years in data warehouse design and ETL/ELT processes.
  • 4+ years of experience with Snowflake.
  • 3+ years of experience with Matillion.
  • Certification in Matillion and Snowpro Core or higher.
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses, specifically Snowflake and Matillion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with machine learning and data analytics concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
