Job Title: Welder-Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team at The Bucket Shop Inc. as a key member of our fabrication and repair department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication and repair, including welding, cutting, and shaping metal components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metalworking, with experience in working with a variety of metals and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in welding and metalworking
  • Strong background in welding and metal fabrication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
