Key Responsibilities:
  • Design FTTx networks, including fiber routes, distribution, and drop points
  • Create detailed network design maps using GIS and CAD software
  • Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility and gather necessary data for design

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and experience working with fiber optic networks. They will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, field technicians, and external contractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient with the use of computers and software, including MS Office (Word, Teams & Excel)
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to telecommunications and fiber optic networks
  • Familiarity with network design software (e.g., Post-secondary education in Geographic Information Systems is an asset
