Job Summary:

The Enlarged Role Nurse position at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) is a unique opportunity for a skilled nurse to work in a multidisciplinary approach, providing health and social services in an integrated manner. This role requires a nurse to perform patient assessments, allowing a doctor to make a diagnosis at a distance and determine the appropriate interventions. Additionally, the nurse will carry out actions and interventions typically reserved for doctors in other work environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments to enable remote diagnosis and intervention planning
• Carry out actions and interventions typically reserved for doctors in other settings
• Work in a multidisciplinary approach to provide integrated health and social services
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

• Member in good standing of the Order
• Two (2) years of diversified experience as a nurse or One (1) year of experience as a nurse in an emergency room
• Fluent in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset
