Overview of the Role

This position requires extensive experience in reading blueprints, operating machinery such as shears, press brake and plate rolls, and fabricating various layouts. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret blueprints accurately, operate equipment efficiently, and work effectively as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in structural fabrication, with expertise in working with the listed equipment. They will also hold CWB certification or be able to pass CWB welding tests in GMAW, MCAW, FCAW.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to ensure correct fabrication of layouts.
  • Operate Machinery: Safely operate equipment such as shears, press brake, and plate rolls to fabricate various layouts.
  • Lay out and Fabricate Cones, Off Sets, Square Rounds: Expertly lay out and fabricate cones, off sets, and square rounds using the required equipment.
  • Lay out and Fit Stairs and Handrails: Accurately lay out and fit stairs and handrails for various projects.
  • Lay out and Fit Structural Steel: Expertly lay out and fit structural steel for various applications.
  • Work as Part of a Team: Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals.
  • Operate Overhead Cranes, Forklifts, and Various Lifts: Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as required.
