Job Title: Infant's Daycare Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant's Daycare Worker to join our team at Joyful Christian Childcare Abbotsford (JCCA). As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers to grow and develop.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to encourage creativity and learning.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a smooth and efficient childcare environment.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Encourage children to express themselves through various forms of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations is essential.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
