Job Title: Veterinary Technologist - Oncology Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technologist to join our team in the Oncology department at Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the care and treatment of patients with cancer and other medical conditions.
  • Perform physical examinations, patient assessments, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer medications, perform venipuncture, and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technologist in a small animal or mixed animal practice.
  • Knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
