Job Description

River Guard Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Site Laborer to join their team.

About the Role

This is a physically demanding position that requires the ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to follow instructions and take direction from supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials as required.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment and tools.
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and assist with tasks as needed.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on safe working practices.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under supervision.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Remove rubble and debris from construction sites and dispose of waste properly.
  • Tend or feed machines and equipment used in construction activities.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy loads up to 20 lbs (9 kg).
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of weather conditions and environments.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential for this role.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hardworking individual who can maintain focus and productivity throughout the workday.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. River Guard Construction Ltd. offers a comprehensive health care plan, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage. Employees also receive paid time off and holidays.
