Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer II to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our EDA product support team, you will be responsible for collaborating with software developers, architects, and product specialists to deploy Ansys EDA products across top semiconductor companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop expertise in one or more Ansys EDA products and work independently to provide technical support to customers.
  • Provide customer support tasks, including answering questions on tool functionality and troubleshooting product defects.
  • Triage complaints about product defects and work with R&D to identify root causes.
  • Write clear and concise descriptions of product enhancement requests.
  • Work behind the scenes to assist with evaluations, benchmarks, and demos, taking direction from a mentor as needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with team members and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with 5 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or Ph.D. with 1 year of experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good programming skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of VLSI design, Physical Design, and CMOS fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for learning and deploying new technologies.
  • 0-2 years of prior experience in ASIC Physical design, Power-Integrity/Signal-Integrity/Reliability Closure, or Custom circuit design and simulation.
