Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at The Grand Malabar Indian Cuisine Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth kitchen operations and maintain a positive work environment.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and organization.
- Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets to meet the needs of our customers and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient use of resources and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment with repetitive tasks and overtime required.
