Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that deals with the use of ionizing radiation to treat cancer. At the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Radiation Oncologist to join our team.

About Us: The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is a leading provider of cancer care in Canada. Our agency operates two treatment centres: the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. We provide comprehensive cancer care to patients from across the province.

Job Summary: As a Clinical Radiation Oncologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans for cancer patients using advanced radiation therapy techniques. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for cancer patients using advanced radiation therapy techniques
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care
  • Conduct clinical trials and participate in research projects to advance the field of radiation oncology
  • Provide education and training to medical students and residents

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in medicine with subspecialty training in radiation oncology. Preference will be given to candidates who have obtained or are in the final stages of obtaining Fellowship standing in Radiation Oncology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have equivalent education, training and experience. Applicants with experience in interstitial gyne and prostate brachytherapy will be preferred.

Salary Details: A competitive compensation package is offered and will be commensurate with experience. Salary range for this position is $387,661 to $500,281, plus benefits.

In addition, you will have access to a clinical appointment in the Division of Oncology, College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Additional incentives may be available.
