Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Professional - Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge, BC. This full-time opportunity will involve providing exceptional patient care services to patients in acute inpatient areas.
About the Role
This role will require the successful candidate to work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered care to patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patients and developing comprehensive care plans that meet their unique needs;
- Providing direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions;
- Collaborating with patients and their families/caregivers to ensure informed decision-making and participation in care planning;
- Participating in the care and discharge planning process to ensure smooth transitions for patients;
- Documenting all aspects of patient care according to established standards and procedures.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 per hour. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including four weeks of vacation time, health benefits, and a pension plan. Additionally, we have implemented new incentives within our provincial collective agreement that enhance overall compensation, provide employer-paid benefits, and offer flexible scheduling options.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Nursing from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Other essential qualifications include:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities;
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
