About the Job

Bester Construction is seeking a skilled Woodworking Craftsman to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for building and maintaining residences and wooden structures in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and industrial properties.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with minimal supervision.
  • Physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and working long hours.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including dental and healthcare plans, as well as support for persons with disabilities and newcomers/refugees.
