About the Role

The Associate Assistant Superintendent of Learning is a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Superintendent. This role is responsible for developing and implementing observable impact planning in alignment with district priorities, including Inspiring Thinking, Cultivating Well-Being, and Building Relationships through the lens of our Catholic faith.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve teaching and learning
  2. Lead the development of curriculum-related initiatives and programs
  3. Provide expertise in literacy and numeracy instruction from JK-12
  4. Collaborate with staff, parents, and the community to build relationships and foster inclusive learning environments
  5. Lead data-driven decision-making to inform school improvement

Requirements

  1. Master's Degree in an educational field
  2. Must hold, or be eligible for a NWT Teaching Certificate
  3. Minimum of five years experience as a school principal or equivalent leadership experience
  4. Proven success in curriculum-related initiatives and program development
  5. Expert knowledge of literacy and numeracy instruction from JK-12
  6. Deep understanding and experience in assessment practices
  7. Proven experience in the use of data for school improvement
