IT Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Manager to join our team at School District 8 (Kootenay Lake). As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective use of technology to maximize student learning and provide a welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe learning environment.

1. Technology Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement technology strategies to support student learning and district operations.
2. IT Service Management: Provide exceptional technology service management for the district, ensuring that all systems and infrastructure are running smoothly and efficiently.
3. Human Resources Management: Lead and manage the Information Technology team, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
4. Fiscal and Asset Management: Oversee the fiscal and asset management of Information Technology resources, ensuring that all resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant post-secondary education, or equivalent education and work experience.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a public sector or large complex organization.
3. Skills and Qualifications: Considerable experience and success with integrating new technologies and methodologies into a large organization, strong leadership and management skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
