Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitizing of all surfaces.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, as well as food preparation work areas as required.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations, and pot scrubbing station.
- Must be capable of working effectively both unsupervised and within a team environment.
- Weekly deep clean of the back of the house.
- Keeping floors and work areas clear of hazards and obstruction.
- Responsible for the operation of kitchen cleaning equipment.
Requirements:
- Organized and a great team player.
- Hotel and restaurant work experience an asset.
- Must be able to work varying shifts.
- Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs.
- Passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Understanding of WHMIS.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene.
