We are seeking an experienced CCUS Lead Operations Specialist to join our team in Edmonton, AB. This role will play a critical part in building, training, and leading the plant operations team, ensuring that the facility design and construction meet the highest standards of safety, operability, and reliability.

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager Edmonton CCUS and is a key member of the project team. As a CCUS Lead Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and providing input on project criteria, guidelines, standards, practices, and designs specific to plant operational requirements.

You will also provide personal Safety leadership in accordance with Heidelberg Materials' Environment and Health and Safety Program and support the development of the operator training program and ongoing competency verifications using high-fidelity plant simulators.

Additionally, this role involves supporting pilot plant operations as required to meet test plan requirements, developing Operations & Maintenance systems, practices, and procedures, and reviewing project documentation including technical recommendations, work packages, and commissioning documents.

As a successful candidate, you will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in energy facility operations, preferably with at least 5 years in an operations coordination role. You will hold a First Class Power Engineer Certificate in Alberta or be progressing towards obtaining it.

Key qualifications include keen understanding of workplace safety, proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships within a dynamic team, flexibility, adaptability, excellent communication skills, and competence with computer-based programs and tools.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $117,430 and $161,455 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, pension retirement savings plan, and annual incentive plan.
