Job Title: Financial Control Officer

Lobster Port is seeking a highly skilled Financial Control Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for planning, setting up, and administering accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and administer accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare financial statements and reports to provide insights into our financial performance
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices to optimize our financial operations
  • Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Provide financial, business, and tax advice to support our business decisions
  • Oversee payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate payment of employees
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
