At Sure Shot Express, we are seeking an experienced Over the Road Truck Driver to join our team. As a vital member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that requires the driver to be away from home for extended periods, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a strong understanding of transportation laws and regulations. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Strong understanding of transportation laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic security clearance
