Job Summary

We are seeking qualified Occasional Teachers to join our team at the York Region District School Board. As an Occasional Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of secondary education settings, supporting students and staff in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must hold an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate in good standing. You should also have qualifications at the Intermediate (Grade 9 and 10) and Senior levels (Grade 11 and 12).

Application Process:
Applicants can apply to any position that interests them, including Term Assignments (LTO) or Permanent vacancies, without first being on our Occasional Teacher lists. Please submit your application, including a cover letter, resume, and updated Applicant Profile, to Apply to Education. You may also wish to attach relevant diplomas, certifications, and reference letters.

Selection Process:
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via the email listed in their Applicant Portfolio on Apply to Education. The selection process includes a review of required qualifications, interview, and assessment process, as well as reference checks. All employment offers are conditional on providing a valid criminal record check for the vulnerable sector.
