About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Burnaby, BC. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop leading-edge cybersecurity solutions that empower organizations to defend their networks against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex software solutions that ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Lead the development of core components and optimize selected code sets for enhanced performance
  • Drive projects to completion, identify critical paths, and ensure teams are unblocked
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor team members to follow best practices in software development
Requirements
  • 12+ years of software development experience with programming languages such as Go Lang, Python, and Java
  • 3+ years of experience working in high-volume data applications and familiarity with data processing frameworks, such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Any level of experience with MLOps is a plus
  • Experience in microservices architecture and REST
  • Ability to produce logically structured, accurate, and clearly written materials
  • Ability to communicate issues factually and openly
  • Desire to actively share knowledge and information with other employees to enhance team productivity
  • Bachelor's of science in computer science or equivalent
What Success Looks Like
  • After six months, you will lead feature development, gain domain expertise, and deliver complex features
  • After about a year, you will make significant contributions to our services, design and processes, and take ownership of product features
