**Job Summary:**

The Sales Associate will be accountable for supporting the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and initiatives. This includes modeling and maintaining excellent customer service standards, effectively communicating with customers, and maintaining a new and clean store environment.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Provide exceptional customer service by being aware of customer activity, responding with a sense of urgency, and prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
  • Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service, including offering solutions for out-of-stock items when necessary.
  • Effectively communicate the value and quality of our merchandise, including current promotions and features.
  • Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns and demonstrate the appropriate level of selling skills to positively impact conversion.
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap, educating customers on the benefits of the PLACE Card.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure that all sizes and styles are represented, following company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
  • Support and maintain a neat, clean, and organized stockroom, adhering to safety requirements and a customer-ready environment.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard, guaranteeing company assets by ensuring adherence to all Loss Prevention procedures.

**Education and Experience:**

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

**Skills and Behaviors:**

  • Excellent customer engagement and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and call-in shifts.
  • Ability to maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom, climb ladders, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
