About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at Tomas the Cook / Specklebellys pub. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while operating our point of sale system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the Point of Sale System: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage Cash and Credit Transactions: Process cash, credit, and debit card payments, and reconcile daily sales with the point of sale system.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure the workspace is clean, tidy, and free from hazards, and report any maintenance or repair issues to the management.
  • Work as Part of a Team: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets, provide support during peak periods, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Availability: Availability to work 40 hours per week is required.
