**Job Title:** Healthcare Professional - Long Term Care

**Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Nursing Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician orders, and the resident's plan of care.
  • Admission and Discharge: Ensure timely and safe admission and discharge processes for residents, including comprehensive orientation and transfer procedures.
  • Care Planning: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
  • Medication Management: Safeguard drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Certification:
  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective, compassionate, and supportive interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
