Tax Operations Role

CICI Financial's Tax Operations team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of client year-end tax reporting requirements under Canadian and U.S. Tax Authorities. This role involves reviewing, researching, and analyzing year-end tax files/slips for accuracy and completeness. You will also perform data validation by sample-checking tax reports against client account/activity information in our internal system.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough reviews, research, and analysis of year-end tax files/slips for accuracy and completeness
- Perform data validation by sample-checking tax reports against client account/activity information in our internal system
- Collaborate with the Tax team to ensure complete and accurate tax slips are distributed to clients and remitted to relevant Tax Authorities
- Identify and escalate any findings or discrepancies in client data files and address them in a timely manner

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax function and/or client tax reporting
- Completion of a post-secondary program
- Familiarity with various CRA/MRQ/IRS tax slips
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Knowledge of the broker-dealer industry an asset
