IBM Computing - Platform Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Platform Developer to join our Client Engineering team at IBM Computing. As a key player in a multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with clients to deliver unique co-creation experiences that accelerate their digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on solution architecture to align with platform best practices, focusing on clients' target environments to ease transition to deployment.
  • Work with deployment teams to transition platform assets and information, ensuring seamless transitions for clients.

Required Technical Expertise

  1. Hands-on experience with a wide range of cloud and AI technologies.
  2. Experience in building application and infrastructure deployment automation workflows.
  3. Proven track record in participating in customer-facing technical solutions teams across various cloud architectures.
  4. Technical experience in a cloud-related domain such as Data/Analytics, Data Science, Security, or other cloud-native, hybrid, or public-cloud technology.
  5. Understanding and practical application of Agile best practices.
  6. Proficient in at least one common cloud native programming language (Java, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible, etc.).

Preferred Technical Expertise

  1. At least 1 year in a technical operations role, such as site reliability or platform engineering, in hybrid-cloud and on-premise environments.
  2. Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CNCF, AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps).
  3. Experience working in dynamic team environments and cross-functionally with teams such as Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
  4. Bilingualism Preferred but not required.
