Alberta Health Services, a leading healthcare provider, invites applications for a Physiatrist to join our team at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Physiatrist to establish a full-time practice in the community of Red Deer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reside in the community of Red Deer and have their primary residence within the city;
  • Obtain and maintain AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide services;
  • Abide by AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and policies;
  • Establish and maintain a full-time community-based practice;
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken by the Zone Clinical Department of Internal Medicine;
  • Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs;
  • Contribute to administrative responsibilities as assigned;
  • Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Have or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta;
  • Have or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC);
  • Have specialty certification or equivalent in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or currently enrolled in a Physical Medicine Residency Program;
  • Must have recent and relevant experience in all areas of practice required.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000-$300,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
