Nurse Practitioner

As a Nurse Practitioner with Bayshore HealthCare, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and communities in Northern Canada. Our Northern Nursing program has been providing high-quality community health relief staffing services to Indigenous and Northern communities since 1997.
Key Responsibilities- Practice autonomously as a primary care provider in isolated, semi-isolated, and remote areas of Northern Canada
- Provide comprehensive care to patients and families, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and performing medical procedures
- Collaborate with community members and healthcare teams to develop and implement programs to address patient and community needs
- Participate in community health initiatives, such as adult health clinics, pre and post-natal clinics, and chronic disease clinics
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license and a Nurse Practitioner Specialization through a Canadian provincial governing body
- Have a minimum of 30 weeks of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in remote, isolated, and/or semi-isolated northern communities
- Be confident and skilled to evaluate the need for further assessment outside of the community
