We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Community Living BC. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process accounts payable transactions in accordance with established financial policies and procedures.
  • Examine service contracts, expenditure payments, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve questionable transactions in collaboration with supervisors and regional staff.
  • Review reports on contract payments and ensure accurate calculations and capture of total and variable components.
  • Maintain spreadsheets on various financial issues and perform general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assemble invoices into batches, key data into the computerized system, and balance control reports.
  • Educate branch contacts on invoice processing, contracts, amendments, business travel accounts, purchasing cards, i-expenses, and petty cash.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 12 and post-secondary courses in accounting and business, plus three years of experience in a complex accounts payable environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Experience in reconciling accounts.
