Job Title: Bookkeeper

Manitoba Ltd O/A Subway is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, providing a clear picture of the company's financial health.
  • Post journal entries, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports, providing valuable insights for business decisions.
  • Prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Prepare trial balance of books, verifying the accuracy of financial records.
  • Reconcile accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of efficiency and productivity.
