Your Opportunity:

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in the effective daily operation of the pharmacy department, ensuring safe and effective patient care. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products, including receiving and triaging medication orders, compounding and repackaging medication, and preparing sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute pharmaceutical products, including sterile and non-sterile preparations
  • Receive and triage medication orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Compound and repackage medication, adhering to strict quality control standards
  • Provide clinical support through medication reconciliation activities and discrepancy resolution
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician
