Dining Room Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dining Room Supervisor to join our team at Florenceville Amsterdam Inn & Suites LTD. As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of dining room staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers.
  • Ensure that all dining room areas are clean and well-maintained, including tables, chairs, and floors.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, including linens, china, and glassware.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of customer service, responding to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food is delivered to the dining room in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage cash handling and point-of-sale systems, including processing transactions and handling customer payments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent bending, stooping, and standing.
