Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to join our team at Earl's Restaurant (Banff) Ltd. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Management: Analyze and optimize our restaurant's budget to boost profits and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Staff Supervision: Monitor and manage the performance of our staff, ensuring they meet our high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure our restaurant adheres to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate with clients for catering or use of our facilities, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Our restaurant is located in a rural area, offering a unique and scenic work environment.
  • Supervision: You will be responsible for supervising a team of more than 20 people.
  • Certifications: You must hold a Responsible Beverage Service Certificate and have completed the ProServe program.
Work Environment:

Our restaurant operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. You must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively to meet our high standards.
