About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to join our team at South City Truck Centre as a Mechanic's Helper. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to our mechanics and tradespeople, ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Mechanics and Tradespeople: Provide support to our mechanics and tradespeople, helping with tasks such as moving tools and equipment, cleaning machines and work areas, and assisting with repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and performing other duties as required.
  • Ensure Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work Effectively in a Team: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, demonstrating a positive and flexible attitude.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn is essential.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling, and is physically demanding.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
