Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Waiter/Waitress Captain to join our team at OV Burger Bar. As a Waiter/Waitress Captain, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing a team of servers, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Team Management: Supervise other servers and bussing staff, train staff, and assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Order Management: Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, balance cash and record sales.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages, describe menu items, and advise on menu selections.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Certifications: Serving It Right Certificate required.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
