Early Childhood Educator Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Early Steps. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment that supports the growth and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the unique needs and interests of children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that foster learning and exploration, including storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Health and Hygiene: Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, ensuring their overall well-being.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress and identify potential learning or behavioral issues, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
  • Environment and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects children's physical and emotional well-being.
Certifications and Qualifications:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
