Senior Business Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at S.i. Systems. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in implementing existing and future IM/IT projects for our valued public sector client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with stakeholders to identify, refine, and prioritize requirements for IM/IT systems, formally documenting these requirements in a Statement of Requirements.
  • Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
  • Prepare and manage requirements using the SCRUM software development methodology.
  • Develop Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Concept of Support (CONSUP) documents with clients and support organizations.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identifying and documenting database content and structure, and application subsystems.
  • Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems.
  • Act as a liaison between the client, other stakeholders, and the project team, ensuring that requirements are understood, questions are addressed, and responses are documented.
  • Provide progress updates against identified requirements and assigned tasks.
  • Document descriptions of changes to be implemented for use in communiques, release notes, etc.
  • Work with clients to collect and refine wording for project-developed web sites and software.
  • Coordinate the translation of text with internal Government of Canada translation services.
  • Establish user acceptance test criteria with clients.
