Magil Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our construction projects to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to determine project requirements and ensure quality execution.
  • Contract Management: Draft and manage contracts with consultants, specialists, and contractors, including endorsements, amendments, and change orders.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the services rendered by consultants, including drawings, specifications, supervision, and acceptance of works.
  • Site Meetings and Communication: Participate in site meetings with professionals and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Cost Management: Track project costs and manage change orders between professionals and subcontractors.
  • Progress Monitoring: Manage and follow up with contractors on all activities related to the progress of work on the construction site.
  • Scheduling and Negotiations: Participate in the development and updating of the day-to-day schedule and contract negotiations.
  • Technical Support: Prepare and follow up on technical questions related to plans and specifications.
  • Customer and Subcontractor Management: Manage customer and subcontractor payment requests and review shop drawings and samples.
  • Conflict Resolution: Monitor and manage conflict detections when the project is carried out in BIM.
  • Deficiency Management: Monitor and manage deficiencies.
  • Bid Analysis: Participate in the analysis of bids with the estimation team if necessary.
  • Amendments and Change Orders: Ensure that the project coordinator adequately manages amendments and change orders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, civil engineering, building engineering, or holds a technology diploma in construction, architecture, or civil.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Ability to follow and control budgets and progressive invoicing, mastery of MS office and MS Project software, knowledge of Procore, Ontario Construction Code, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Language: Bilingual ability in French/English (an asset).
  • Accreditation: LEED accreditation (an asset).
