About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at CMC Mechanical Ltd. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our buildings are properly insulated to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select the appropriate type of insulation required for each project
  • Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation techniques
  • Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers
  • Estimate costs and materials for insulation projects
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment as needed
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
Work Environment

As an Insulation Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, commercial and residential buildings, and potentially in confined spaces. You will be exposed to noisy, dusty, and cold environments, and will be required to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Basic security clearance
  • Physically demanding work
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Steel-toed safety boots, gloves, and safety harness required
