About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Create detailed specifications for custom-made cabinets, taking into account storage needs and maximizing space efficiency.
  • Woodworking Expertise: Operate a range of woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Surface Preparation: Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Assembly and Finishing: Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, and apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
