Job Description:

The Director, Financial Control plays a pivotal role within the Montreal Port Authority, driving financial strategy and operations. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Finance and Technology, this leader is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, building strong partnerships with operations, and advising on strategic decision-making.

This senior position requires expertise in accounting, finance, and leadership, as well as excellent communication and influence skills. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and experience in process optimization and implementing accounting systems.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Leading accounting and financial functions with a business-driven perspective.
  2. Acting as a financial expert, advising the Executive Vice President, Finance and Technology, and the senior management team on strategic decision-making.
  3. Developing and implementing appropriate policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks for the department.
