Wallcovering Specialist

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

We are seeking an experienced Wallcovering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired color and texture, measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper and other fabric to walls, advising consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings, erecting scaffolding and swing stages, and attaching rigging.

• Surface preparation experience: drywall taping/patching, water/hydroblasting, flame cleaning, sandblasters
• Coating/application specialization: aggregate painting, novelty and decorative effects, fibreglassing, fire retardants, graphics painting, surface gilding, multi-color finishes, powdered coatings, dipping, lead based removal and encapsulation, paint spraying
• Wall covering specialization: wallpaper, vinyl

The successful candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, with exposure to outdoors, underground, at heights, confined spaces, and odors. They must also have excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to distinguish between colors.
