Our operations include Vancouver Shipyards, Vancouver Drydock, and Victoria Shipyards.
About the Job
The Trade Supervisor, Electrical (Afternoon Shift) will be responsible for leading a team of tradespeople and overseeing the completion of trade activities within the Shipyard. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the team by coordinating and overseeing the completion of trade activities.
- Ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations and company standards.
- Implementing and carrying out Seaspan's health, safety, environmental, and quality processes on the shop floor.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 5 years of related trades work experience outside of trades apprenticeship or educational program.
- A minimum of an additional 3 years of previous supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment, preferably unionized.
- Dedication to safety and quality, with experience in the application of behavioral-based safety.
