**Job Summary**

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a dedicated Public Health Nurse to play a critical role in ensuring the health of our communities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide assessments and select treatments, following clinical practice guidelines, to offer community-based programming and services.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate health promotion and disease prevention strategies to improve community health.
  • Conduct assessments, provide education, and administer immunizations to eliminate the risk of vaccine-preventable and communicable diseases.
  • Design, implement, modify, and evaluate health promotion activities to address the health needs of our population.

**Requirements:**

  • BScN or BN nursing degree program.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience in a public health or community health environment.
