As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing various invasive procedures.
About the JobIn this role, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' ECG & hemodynamics during procedures such as heart catheterizations, angioplasties, and specialized procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Prepares patients for procedures by applying electrodes and shaving prep as necessary
- Gathers patient information/history from patient and electronic medical records; enters orders and prepares patient charts
- Sets up, calibrates, monitors, and analyzes patients' ECG & hemodynamics during procedures; conveys vital information to physicians
- Enters data and prepares reports with analysis of recorded hemodynamics, including ejection fraction, coronary disease, resistances, and valve gradient and area
Required Qualifications: Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology, 2 years' recent related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Eligible for registration with CACPT and/or CCI RCIS credential.
