Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior UX/UI Designer to join our Pension Services and Technology team in Toronto.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design and user experience, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with groups across Products and Technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of new (and existing) products and services for OMERS Pensions.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that embody business and functional requirements in both low and high fidelity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Conduct user testing to gather qualitative and quantitative data, and utilize that information to guide and improve user experiences in our products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design.

Requirements

  • A recognizable degree in Design or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years related to product design and/or UX/UI design working experience.
  • Big picture thinking that ensures consistency in design patterns and connectivity between various flows on products.
  • Experience in an Agile/scrum work setting.
  • Proficiency with producing user flows, low and high-fidelity designs, and prototyping.
  • Proficiency with Figma, it is our primary tool in our UX/UI design workflow.
  • Experience with other design tools (Sketch, Adobe CC, Prototyping tools and user testing tools etc.) is preferred but not required.
  • Strong advocacy for human-centered design principles.
  • Experience with financial/investment/insurance businesses would be an asset.
  • Experience with Design Sprints and other design lead solution activities would be an asset.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS would be an asset.
