Environmental Stewardship and Highway Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Stewardship and Highway Maintenance Professional to join our team at LaPrairie Group of Companies. As a key member of our Highway Maintenance Operations department, you will be responsible for promoting environmental stewardship and ensuring compliance with environmental policies and regulations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental management, including experience in environmental program administration, statistical reporting, and hazard assessment. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also required for this position, as you will be working closely with various stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and government agencies.
About the Job- Provide expert guidance on environmental management practices, including policy administration, statistical reporting, and hazard assessment.
- Support line managers and field supervisors in implementing environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Mentor employees on environmental best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement environmentally friendly strategies to minimize project risks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant environmental experience.
- Relevant certifications or training in environmental management, such as CECAB certification or post-secondary education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to travel regularly throughout assigned regions.
