Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our dietary services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for residents, following standardized recipes and production sheets.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality and quantity of food supplies, as well as the proper operation of kitchen equipment.
  • Direct and supervise Dietary Aides in food preparation and serving activities.
  • Assume responsibility for routine departmental operations in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of menu changes, delivery receipts, and temperature checks.
Requirements
  • Chef training or culinary management certificate/diploma from a recognized program.
  • Experience in institutional large quantity cooking preferred.
  • Ability to work safely and follow established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English, and understand moderately complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Proven ability to provide direction and lead others within a busy environment.
