We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team at AML Construction Ltd. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Construction and Installation: Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements; measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials; build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Work: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Equipment and Machinery: Operate hand tools and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Health and Safety: Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
- Skills: Strong judgment, reliability, and teamwork skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Equipment: Own tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and safety vest.
- Health Benefits: Dental plan, health care plan, and vision care benefits.
- Work Environment: 40 to 50 hours per week, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
