About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and physically capable Maintenance Support Associate to join our team at Feliza African Grocery and Beauty Store Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within our store, ensuring that all facilities and fixtures are properly cleaned and maintained.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dusting and Cleaning: Dust furniture and other surfaces to ensure a dust-free environment.
  • Vacuuming and Upholstery Cleaning: Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to keep them clean and in good condition.
  • Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Customer Service: Provide basic information on facilities and amenities to customers, addressing their complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Housekeeping and Trash Management: Perform light housekeeping duties, pick up debris, and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Maintenance of Facilities: Clean changing rooms and showers to ensure they are always available for use.
Work Environment and Physical Capabilities:
  • Independent Work: The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Fast-paced environments require adaptability and the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Pressure and Repetitive Tasks: Ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks without compromising quality or efficiency.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina, as it involves standing for extended periods, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
